Configurations - the Translations Feed

Note: the Translations Feed view only works with the Lightning Interface.

The Unbabel Feed runs on a lwc component that can be added to the Case Page by means of the Lighting App Builder.

1 - Go to Unbabel for SC Configuration Menu:

2 - Check the option Translations Feed View:

3 - Press Save.

Note: this option is only available up to version 3.36 of the Unbabel for Service Cloud package. Later version assume the translations feed view is on by default.

If upgrading from single to translation feed, we suggest you do this by upgrading to v3.34 first, enable the translations feed, and then update to the latest version.

4 - Head to any case, click Setup, and then Edit Page:

Next, we'll need to add the custom component. We suggest the creation of a tab named Unbabel to contain the feed component.

6 - Select your current tabs, and on the right side click Add Tab.

7 - Select it and update the tab label to custom and name it  “Translations Feed”.

8 - Now drag the Unbabel Translations Feed component to the Translations Feed tab and save the page.

* You can configure the Feed view as it best suits your needs. The method shown here is just a suggestion for a configuration.

We are ready to proceed to Language configurations.

Filtering out the Translations Feed

If you are using version 1.69 or later of the Unbabel Connector, you can filter out the Translations Feed to make sure only users with Unbabel permissions can see it, while not touching the Page Layout or Lighting record page.

To do this, please follow this steps:

1 - On Setup, head to the Case object page

2 - Select the Lightning Record Pages you want to edit

3 - Press Edit

4 - Create a copy of your  Chatter Feed component without the Translations Feed tab

5 - Select the original chatter feed (the one with the Translations Feed tab) and click Add Filter

6 - Click Advanced then Select

7 - Select Permissions > Custom Permission > unbabelapi.Unbabel and click Done

8 - Make sure Value is set to True and click Done

9 - The result should look something like this:

10 - Next, select the duplicated chatter feed (the one without the Translations Feed tab) and repeat these steps, only setting the value to False in step 8.

11 - Save your changes
