It is possible to Enable File Share in the Unbabel Chat Configuration page, which will provide the ability for agents to request the visitor to share a file. This is equivalent to the existing feature “Transfer Files During a Chat” on Salesforce’s chat component.
Use of this feature requires Unbabel for Salesforce Chat version 2.1 or later.
In order for the visitor to send a file, the Agent has to:
1 - Click on the Request File button, highlighted in the image below:
2 - Associate the file request with either a Contact, Account, Lead, or Case:
3 - Choose a record to attach the file to and click on the Request button:
The button turns blue while the request is active. Once the customer uploads a file, it turns white again.
4 - The customer may then attach a file:
5 - After the file is sent by the customer (file cannot exceed 5MB, this is a Salesforce limit), it displays as an entry with and a small preview in the Unbabel Translations component:
6 - Pressing the file link will expand the file preview, from which you can download or share the file.
Clicking the dropdown icon and selecting "View file details" will take the Agent to a new file tab where one can view the file's content:
7 - The Agent may cancel the request by clicking on the Request File button and then clicking on the Cancel Request button:
