Release 2.1 introduces important changes in the UI of the integration. Instead of having source and target side by side, we saved up space in the UI by only displaying one language at a time.

Notes:

• Language Bar redesign

The language bar is now collapsed by default if lang ID returned a valid result / language is selected.

• Chat Bubbles redesign

The chat bubbles now display the status for the translation request.

Action buttons now display tooltips if you hover.

While a translation is ongoing, the source message is now temporarily displayed in the same bubble, getting replaced once it is over.

• Chat view can now be toggled between Agent and Visitor Languages

By default we now show all messages in the Agent’s native language. The Agent will still be able to check the Visitor’s original messages while they are being translated and by clicking the switch language button as shown below.

• Transfer Files During a Chat

We added the ability for an agent from the Unbabel’s chat component to ask the visitor to upload a file directly on the chat window. This is equivalent to the existing feature “Transfer Files During a Chat” on Salesforce’s chat component. Learn how to use the feature with Unbabel here.
