The Unbabel API allows you to translate large volumes of content. The following table summarises common use cases of the Unbabel API and the corresponding formats that should be set on the text_format field.
Unbabel currently has three public APIs which have available documentation so that you can develop a solution to call and use our translation pipeline directly, be it for testing purposes or to adapt your environment in case no integrated plug-in is yet available.
These APIs are tailored to content types:
- Chat API (chat)
- Ticket API (emails)
- Translation API (faqs, articles, blog posts, product descriptions, user-generated content, subtitles, data content, multilingual software, etc.)
Check the documentation to see how to best adapt the format of your request based on the content type.
Note: access to our APIs is protected by an authentication mechanism. For basic access, your credentials (Unbabel username and API key) are available in the Integrations app. Reach out to support to know more or if you're running into any problems.
