Before becoming a Paid Editor in a language pair you are required to do some Training Tasks and get evaluated on them.
A Task is a text (or a part of it) submitted for translation. After being submitted it's translated by the Machine Translation Engine and sent to the platform for editing. Editors can see the available Tasks in the Tasks section of the website.
Tasks are usually less than 100 words long, which makes them fast and easy to edit and evaluate. The time limit for Task varies according the quantity of words.
Training Task* is a translation task generated from available free Internet content in order to provide users with training material.
If for some reason there are no Training Tasks available, please, request it by clicking the Request Form.
Please, note that Training Tasks are not paid.
Neither Editors, nor Unbabel get paid for Training Tasks. These Tasks are generated from random Internet content in order to provide users with training material.
Training Tasks are designed to help Editors improve their post-editing skills and serve for rating the quality of the delivered Tasks.
