Below you can find the installation steps for Unbabel for Freshdesk. Bear in mind that the installation must be performed by a user who is an Account administrator in Freshdesk, aa we will be creating a token that will rely on admin permissions in order to ensure our flow.
1 - Navigate to Admin > Apps > Get more apps
3 - Click ‘Install’
4 - Navigate back to Freshdesk Tickets view, and click ‘Unbabel Translate’ on the right panel of any ticket, and click on the Unbabel Icon
5 - Begin the process by clicking ‘Get started’ on the widget. This pops out into a new window so you can authenticate.
6 - A new tab or window will pop up. User your Customer Portal credentials. You need to have a Portal account with an Integrations Manager or higher tier role to be able to run the process.
7 - Once logged in to Customer Portal, authorize Unbabel with your Freshdesk API key
8 - Next, authorize all agents of the instance. You can skip this step if you wish.
9 - In the next step, copy the Unbabel API Key we just generated by clicking the copy to clipboard icon and return to the Freshdesk tab.
10 - Back in your Freshdesk environment, click on “Or click here to finish setup” under the “Get started” button in the Unbabel widget
11 - Paste the Unbabel API key that you copied from the clipboard
12 - This completes the general setup by the Admin. Note: to access Unbabel for the first time, each agent or admin will have to add their own personal Freshdesk API key. Alternatively, someone with access to the Integrations Page in Portal can add them as well.
You should be all set! Open any ticket and in the right hand panel, you’ll see Unbabel working.
