Pipeline templates are default flows that take the selected content type to establish a translation flow that is designed to achieve the best possible quality at optimal cost. As an initial template for your pipelines, three options are available:
Machine translation
MT-only translations with the shortest TAT and cost. Custom-adapted translation models that learn over time are available to ensure high quality without a human step. Usually used with synchronous channels such as chat or social media messaging.
Human reviewed MT
A human editor will pick the result of the MT and post-edit the text in order to add a human touch. Typically used with email content, it constitutes a good balance between native quality and translation speed. You can select a quality threshold above which MT translations will skip human edition.
Senior reviewed MT
After human post edition takes place, Unbabel's experienced senior reviewers will revisit the content and make sure the text has the highest quality possible. No human skips occur at any stage of the flow. Ideal for content that comes in large portions and requires consistency, expertise or brand styling.
While templates establish a pre-defined flow, they can be configured flexibly later on. Learn how in this article.
