What’s new

We've rolled out a complete overhaul of the glossary experience to improve clarity, usability, and translator efficiency.

Side Panel Improvements: The glossary side panel now displays the source term alongside the expected target, rather than the current target. This change helps avoids confusion, as showing the current target previously made it seem like it was the expected translation.
Consistent Term Highlighting: Glossary terms are now underlined directly in the segment, with a consistent style for both standard glossary terms and glossaries with multiple target term options (Context-dependent glossaries - CDGs). Previously, CDGs were marked with a dashed underline, which could often cause confusion.
Interactive Hovering: Hovering over a glossary term now highlights it simultaneously in the segment and the side panel, improving term recognition and navigability.
Improved Edit Awareness: Edits made to glossary terms in earlier workflow steps are now clearly communicated in later steps:
- Edited glossary terms show the message: “The translation for this term was previously edited”.
- Removed glossary terms show the message: “Please pay attention to the translation of this term in the target text”.
Full CDG Visibility: All valid translations for context-dependent glossaries are now displayed in the side panel, enabling more informed decision-making.
One-Click Insert: Select any valid CDG translation and insert it directly into the segment with a single click.

Fixed: A long-standing issue where placing the cursor one space after a glossary term and pressing backspace would cause the cursor to jump to the end of the segment. This issue is now resolved, enabling smoother and more natural editing — especially in languages where glossary terms often require adaptation.
