This depends on what kind of evaluation you had, how long you’ve been with us, and the outcome of the evaluation you just had. Please see below:
a) This was my first ever evaluation, and I gained access to paid tasks
b) This was my first ever evaluation, and I didn’t gain access to paid tasks
c) This was my first evaluation after completing paid tasks, and I still have access to paid tasks
d) This was my first evaluation after completing paid tasks, and I lost my access to paid tasks
e) I’ve already had at least two evaluations of my paid tasks, including this one
a) This was my first ever evaluation, and I gained access to paid tasks
Congratulations on gaining access to paid tasks! We’re thrilled to have you on board as a paid editor.
Depending on the language pair, we’ll try to send your tasks to evaluation within the next month or so provided that you complete enough jobs. After that, we will send you to evaluation every three months or so, though this is flexible.
Please bear in mind that the system randomly selects tasks completed any time since your last evaluation, so in order to succeed, your quality will need to be consistently high. Remember to check the language guidelines and our guide to succeeding in your evaluations to ensure the best possible results.
b) This was my first ever evaluation, and I didn’t gain access to paid tasks
If you didn’t reach the threshold for paid tasks, we’ll be more than happy to allow you a second attempt after our 30 day waiting period. Simply wait thirty days from the point where you completed your tenth task or were sent to evaluation by a member of the Community team, then complete ten new training tasks to be re-evaluated.
Please keep in mind that only tasks completed after this waiting period will be considered part of the new total - and it’s also possible that the language pair may not be open when the waiting period is over. If this is the case, you won’t be able to try again until the language pair is reopened for registration.
c) This was my first evaluation after completing paid tasks, and I still have access to paid tasks
That’s great news!
As this is your first evaluation, please take some time to read through the comments on your evaluation and take another look at the language guidelines to see how best to improve for next time.
Your next evaluation will be in around three months, though this isn’t a fixed date and may be much sooner or somewhat later. Please bear in mind that the system randomly selects tasks completed any time since your last evaluation, so in order to succeed your quality will need to be consistently high.
d) This was my first evaluation after completing paid tasks, and I lost my access to paid tasks
If you didn’t reach the threshold for paid tasks this time round, we’ll be more than happy to allow you a second attempt after our 30 day waiting period. Simply wait thirty days from the point where you received your email informing you of your lack of access, then complete ten new training tasks to be re-evaluated.
We recommend that you take the time to read through the feedback on each task and take a look at our language guidelines before completing your new training tasks.
Please keep in mind that only tasks completed after this waiting period will be considered part of the new total - and it’s also possible that the language pair may not be open when the waiting period is over. If this is the case, you won’t be able to try again until the language pair is reopened for registration.
e) I’ve already had at least two evaluations of my paid tasks, including this one
If you’ve kept your paid tasks access, you can expect evaluations to continue every three months or so. Please do keep an eye on the language guidelines for any changes and look out for our emails - they may contain important information about changes to our policies and/or linguistic guidelines.
If you’ve lost your access to paid tasks, please see d) above for advice.
