Sometimes when you’re presented with evaluation results, it can be difficult to recognise them as your own work. This may be because they were from several months ago, but it might also be that you’ve spotted an error that you think you’d never make.
Every time we have investigated a report of a potential mix-up of tasks, it has always turned out that the task in question was completed by the correct editor. The way that our system selects tasks for evaluation means that each editor’s tasks are handled in complete isolation, and there is no possibility of them getting confused with another editor.
The fundamental thing to remember is that everyone makes mistakes - that’s why we take five tasks and base the rating on an average of all of them, rather than using just one task, where having a bad day could make you lose access. The best thing to do is to look at your rating and feedback, and work out how to improve.
