Very occasionally, we have projects available on the platform where we ask some of our editors to take on larger amounts of work with us. Due to the extremely irregular and often short notice nature of these projects, we don’t release them publicly and instead offer them to those editors we know and trust the most.
How can I be selected?
When we’re looking for editors for projects, we tend to look for the following criteria:
- Excellent communication. We will always give preference to editors who engage with us - this might mean giving us feedback when we ask for it, or working hard during busy periods. Most of all, though, it means answering our emails and keeping in touch - projects are communication-intensive for Unbabel and the editor involved, so it’s vital that we know we can rely on you to work hard.
- Consistently high rating. This would typically mean 4.0 or higher, but it depends on the project.
- Length of time working with us. Even the best editors need time to work on their skills - generally speaking, we don’t offer projects to editors who’ve only been working with us for a couple of months.
If there’s a project available, we’ll be in contact with editors directly. Please don’t contact us about this - we don’t award projects upon request, even if you are eligible.
