When you accept a post-edition task, you may see a pop-up box that gives you an estimation of how much you're likely to earn on this task, along with other information. We're sometimes asked by editors why this estimation is different to the amount that is subsequently credited to their Unbabel balance.
The answer is relatively simple. Editors are paid according to their hourly rate - this means the time that you spend actually completing the task. It doesn't include time in idle mode or between tasks.
The figure that you see is an estimation of what we think your payment will be for the task in question. It's not a guarantee; the amount you're paid will depend on the time you take to complete the task.
As a reminder, you should not artificially extend the time it takes to complete tasks. Once you're finished, submit the task and move onto the next one.
