At Unbabel, we’re committed to improving your experience of translation with us. To do this, we’ve introduced a new feature called translation history lookup. It’s possible that you may have come across this before, as it’s often known as a concordance search.
The Translation History Lookup feature allows you to look up individual source terms or sets of source terms in any client’s database of previously-approved translations. This feature is helpful for translators concerned about maintaining consistency with past translations as well as learn more about how to translate phrases for particular customers.
To use this feature while working on tasks or reviews on the Unbabel platform, please complete the following steps:
- Select the individual term or set of terms in the source text that you would like to look up
- Click on Search translation history
- The client’s translation history is then quickly and thoroughly searched for any matches.
If our systems recognises matches, varied results are displayed in the panel on the right side of the screen, under the Translation History Lookup tab (look for the magnifying glass icon).
Something to share? You can help us improving the results and send us your feedback by clicking 👍 or 👎 under the “Are these examples helpful?” heading.
Pro tip: Shortening your searches and making them more concise helps you find more relevant results.
