At Unbabel we always work to make sure that editors receive jobs that have a good source text. This is so that you can produce the best possible translation, keeping you, us, and our clients as happy as possible.
However, we can’t curate every job because thousands come in every day. Sometimes a job might slip through the net that has difficult language to translate, or it might not make sense at all.
If you feel like this is the case, please skip or unclaim, and report the job to us.
You shouldn’t complete these jobs for two reasons: firstly, it means that we can’t take action on them as we don’t know they’re a problem if you don’t report them. The other reason is that it may affect your score if that task is picked for evaluation.
Just so you know, skipping or unclaiming tasks never affects your hourly rate. It’s something we encourage in cases such as these - please help us to help you.
Domain adaptation tasks can often seem a little disjointed - these follow a slightly different process which you can read more about here.
If a task is marked as the wrong language pair or has mixed languages, please don’t complete it - report it to us straight away. Read more here.
